Wow, I feel really let down-just spent 3 days(not to mention months to get to level 26) chopping everything in site from my fair and all my neighbors fairs to get wood to buy and build my third wonder the Well of Vitalin and it looks like a total dud. Can't believe that that's all their is too it! After having to wait to get to a certain high level and spend all those coins and wood just to buy it, then spend days getting enough wood as well as energy to build it, I guess I thought it would be an amazing thing since after all it is a "wonder". Hope they make it do something helpful and fun. Guess I'll wait to use it? Not sure now if I will even bother with the speed boost. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, just really let down.

I have a suggestion for the developers with this. Since the well only rewards you once a day anyway, and since many of us are unhappy with getting only one Vitalin gem per day (especially when you have a quest that wants 25 of them!!), how about the having the Well give an additional Vitalin gem along with the Material Detector? That way we would get 2 gems per day if we have both the well and the mine.

That would cut the time needed to finish quests that require Vitalin gems by half, and still not make it so easy that you can finish the quest in a few minutes or hours. I mean, even at 2 gems per day, it will take 12/13 days to finish that one quest. I think that's long enough (by about 10 days, lol).

Thanks for making changes in the right direction. I like Maureen Mower's suggestion of being able to get a gem if you have built the Vitalin well - this would hold the interest of the higher level players.

Whilst there will be some who would consider this unfair because lower level players won't have a well, I would say it would be fair in that it is having things to do which holds interest and lower level players have that in volumes simply because they have not completed as many quests.

As the Vitalin Well appears not to really provide any real benefit, despite the hard work those who have completed it have put in, allowing us at least an extra gem would be a good reward.

They need to change the Beaver chop wonder so that the Water on it can be Combined with the Stream paths and beaver damn Other wise it just looks out place

I cannot find the question I asked a while back in regard of the "Material Detector" so I'm re-posting here.


Why is it changed? I use to get all the material needed by chopping off trees to finish buildings...Normally there are 4 differents items needed to finish any buildings in a quest .... now I get only the first 2 items and the rest is not coming down at all...only sap and ladybugs...why is that?

The "Material Detector" has become the "Material Defector" in my opinion...I have 4 Vitalin well in my fair so all of this for nothing is a complete waste.


Please advise.

The material detector will only cause trees to drop what they already drop -but at a higher rate. It will not, and has never, caused the trees to drop gift-only items; with the exception of vitalin.

Thanks for replying Cordelia....but I was under the impression that the material detector was created in order to help out gather material needed to construct buildings ... either it was bugged in the past as I was using it as I chopped down trees and get the material needed... now I still do get some material but only 2 out of 4.

The material detector was created to allow you to get droppable materials faster, as well as an additional bonus of vitalin which was once the rarest item in the game though now it's very easy to get. Gift-only items are not meant to be obtained in the game, this is a social game and it requires a certain number of active neighbours. Yes you very rarely get the odd gift-only material from the daily bonus, quests, monsters, and charging neighbour's protectors; but these are not meant to be enough to keep with with the requirements.

Some buildings require all droppable items, some require all gift-only items. Most buildings now require 2 droppable and 2 gift-only. Different packs in the past may have used different ratios - however gift-only items have never come from the material detector (except for vitalin). However it's been a long time when there was a pack were most of the materials dropped.

Can you have several copies of the same Wonder out? E.g., have 3 Parthenon Parties so that the Prairie Party can be used 3 times a day?
