Homes: OOS when tenant stocks, OOS when collecting rent, and other HOME problems

Ok..thanks for the tip...that could also be my problem..but as I said in a previous thread...I noticed that I do experience that problem only since we add neighbours to the new house...once I evict them I don't have that issue anymore...

UPDATE:

Try this if collecting rent causes "out of sync".

Still OOS when collecting rent. The problem seems to be that the first time you collect it when due you get one note usually on a brown or beige background
Then OOS, then you collect it again and get a different note, often a pink note and it's OK then!!!!

I think I figured out what is causing one of the problems with restocking Residents.
A fix is being worked on, but in the meantime:

Move any building away from the edge of the world.

This should help some of them acting dumb.

Ravenwood "Neighbor Home" Issues

An increasing number of users have been experiencing problems with the HOMES now available in Ravenwood Fair.

Purchasing and building HOMES allows you to move you neighbors onto your fair! Here they will not only be able to pay rent, but restock your attractions and buildings as well (once every 12 hours). Unfortunately, there have been a growing list of issues surrounding HOME construction and maintenance, that has prevented these HOMES from being utilized to their full extent.

These issues include (but aren't limited to):

• Thorned homes that are not so easily de-thorned
• Homes and residents that have suddenly disappeared
• Residents unable to restock buildings
• Out of sync errors as a result of rent collection or having a resident restock a building

Regarding these problems, we have observed the following:

• Homes tend to become thorned as a result of using a Sleeping Potion
• When this occurs, the homes in question have more than likely contained a resident

We're having trouble duplicating this issue, but due to the large volume of response, we realize that it must be happening. Any assistance in reliably reproducing this case will be very much appreciated. As we work to correct this issue, please be sure to familiarize yourself with our Ravenwood Homes general FAQ at the following link:

If after being informed on the uses and guidelines of Home construction and resident interaction you still encounter these issues, rest assured, a fix is on it's way!

As we work to remedy these Housing issues, we offer the following bits of advice:

• Try refreshing your page. Refreshing has helped resolve the vast majority of our help requests. This should be the first thing you do as you determine whether your problem is a legitimate bug.
• Before using a Sleeping Potion, try STASHING your HOME. This will prevent it from being thorned. Rest assured...while STASHING your HOME does automatically EVICT your resident, you can move the same RESIDENT back into the same HOME safely after the effects of the potion. The time towards receiving your next rent payment will not be reset, provided that you move the SAME resident into the SAME home that was STASHED.

This is an ever-growing body of knowledge, created to benefit our users. We will continuously update this post as more information and fixes come through. Nevertheless, your patience and cooperation is much appreciated. Should these issues persist, clear screen shots, and detailed recounts of the issue will aid us significantly.

My fair is telling me when I hover over one of my homes that it is covered in thorns. When I click it to clear them it becomes outlined in green and nothing happens. It doesn't look like there are thorns on it but I can't collect rent or move it.

I lost one home and the character who lived in it!
It is not at my fair!
Maybe it fell over the cliff? It was very near the edge- but this is not funny- I can not even replace the home- we are limited. What can you do to help me?

every time i collect rent it comes up saying my game is out of sync and that i need to reload it also happens when one of my renters tries to restock my games buildings etc...

I recently placed 2 homes and moved neighbors into them. I've seen the renters play games, but so far they're not stocking anything. Is there a waiting period before they start helping?

my level is 27 now, but the below friend list just show I am level 23.

also there is great problem after using sleeping potion.... just two small trees after i used it even i have many free space......

Yeah, there's a 12 hour wait between restocks. You do get your first rent letter right away, though.

But my problem still persist...I had to evict everyone and stash the new houses..unfortunately I spent energy as well as items to build them up only to have them stashed and can't use them...and I will keep them until they fixed the problem as I don't want to sell them out for zero. I didn't get any reply as of yet from the developers in that regard.

Which errors in particular are you getting?

Hi, I've been getting out of sync errors whenever my neighbor's character restocks something. It's been pretty annoying since when I refreshed, the character would restock something again and I would receive the out of sync error again..
This also continued to happen even after I restocked everything. the character would restock the already fully stocked hot dog cart and then proceed to give me an error message

same thing happens to me...if the game loads at all...I keep having to reload every time my renter tries to restock my churro cart.

The message saying the game is out of sync with the browser doesn't come up any more but I think this is because my Resident isn't stocking up for me now? I realised it was every time she stocked up that it happened. Or perhaps I should say 'emptied' she was rather keen on emptying the Thunder Box!

Hi. I have a problem with my neighbors' characters restocking my buildings/games. They often restock a building/game that I already restocked and sometimes 2 or 3 of them restock the same building/game. It happened just now, I built a brand new Epic Chapel and restocked it and as soon as it was done two of my neighbors' characters restocked it too.
I'm on a mac with OS X.
I use Safari to play.

I tried reporting this bug like Sparky posted but when I click on "Contact developer" the page simply reloads and nothing else happens.

I have a stonehearth home, It says its thorned but I can not see thorns or click on it, I can not sell, move or evict from the home. Can you help? Thanks

I am also having problems with the neighbors restocking and out of syncing as well as erroring whenever I try to collect the rent or complete any of the house related quests...

I am having the same problem with the out of sync when my neighbor restocks something. Then the page reloads, and the neighbor tries to restock, then oos again. I can't play, so I had to stash the buildings.
