Insert the image coding into the reply, then highlight the coding. Click the hyperlink button (the little globe picture) and insert the link you want. The coding should look something like this, but without spaces. (I used the link for this thread and the last picture from the post you quoted.)

Find a picture. Right click it. Select "Copy image url" or "Copy image location". Come here. Click the image button. Delete the http that's already there. Paste your code. Your image link should end in .jpg .gif .png or some other supported graphics from.
Go to your gift link, right click "help me", select "Copy link location" or similar. Come back here. Select the whole string from the first left square bracket to the last right square bracket. Click the link button, delete the http that's already there and paste your link. You will get something like this. TO MAKE THE CODE BELOW WORK YOU MUST REPLACE THE ANGLE BRACKETS WITH SQUARE BRACKETS

You just right click on "get food", "get coins", etc and copy those urls instead of "help me"

How Do I Delete the Post Once I Have Enough Material
Once you get enough material from your request post, you may want to go back and delete the post.
If you can't quite remember where you posted, go to "My Profile" and select "Find all Posts". (You must log in first. My Profile is near the top of the screen near the Welcome message.)
Once you are at the post you want to remove, choose "edit Post" . From there you will see the option "Delete". Or you can edit the post to remove the link and say thank you to your adoring fans who helped out sending material.
If someone can describe this process better or if there is another way to do it, please chime in.

Find the post you want to delete, If you don't know where it is:
* Click your name at the top of the forum
* click "Find all posts" on the left side of your profile
* go through the list of your posts until you find the one you are looking for
Delete the post
* Click “edit post”
* click the delete button
* select the radio button
* click “delete post”

I've been copying the same link 3-5 times for one item and it seems to have worked. The other day I posted the same link five times for one item and a couple of my friends only got one link to work. They told me I needed different links for the same item? They told me to do this I needed to log out and log in again and the link for that item would change. I tried it today. No luck; the link didn't change. Then I scrolled on my wall until I found three posts requesting the same item but on different days. Same thing! The links were all still the same. LOL
What am I doing wrong? I figure they know what they are talking about because they post here regularly, too.

How do I post gift requests with the new timeline feature? I am not finding where the links are on my timeline. The old way I just went and copied each new post. I don't see them on timeline feature.

Alright. The problem is when I post what I need I am unable to find it in my time line. The old way, all I did was post that I needed the xyz thing. Then I would go to my facebook and find the link. With timeline I cannot find the link any longer. Clearly I am not explaining this very well.

In timeline the links should all be together with all the other game posts, also some people report they can only see their own game requests if they enter a comment in them.
It's easier to copy the links before you post them. Just right click the links in the pop up in game before you post the request

There are browser plug-ins that can remove timeline, for chrome and firefox from what I hear. However these may not always work properly.

Ok so this is what I am doing - I can get the photo to work, however when I goto 'copy link location' I copy that and paste before the image link. I highlight the whole text and 'cut' then I goto the link tab and copy it all in there.
