To add people as neighbours you need to click their [WIKI]facebook profile link[/WIKI], and then add them as a friend on facebook and then one of you has to send a neighbour request (invite friends or neighbour tab) and the other person has to accept it (request center).

Then you can either stay facebook friends or not; there's one thread for people who want to remain friends(Fair/Skye) and one thread for those that do not(Fair/Skye). Basically if you remain friends you can exchange gifts through the free gifts tab, which is the only way decorations can be exchanged. Otherwise friends can see your posts easier, however you can now subscribe to people's feeds even when you are not friends. Then you can use the privacy lock to determine who can see what you post (friends, or friends and subscribers). Or you can just use the co-op section instead of your wall and not have to be worried about privacy settings.

To have people add you as neighbours just post your [WIKI]facebook profile link[/WIKI], all you need to do is go to facebook and then click your name in the upper right, then once your wall has loaded copy the the link at the top. Make sure your privacy settings are set to allow people to send you friend requests. Click privacy settings, then "how you connect" the setting "Who can send you friend requests?" controls who can send you friend requests. Keep in mind that people can not add messages to friend requests any longer. If you are going to ask people to contact you as well make sure the setting for "Who can send you Facebook messages?" matches "Who can send you friend requests?"
