Default [KNOWN ISSUE] Festival of Seasons items do not count towards any seasonal quests

I've been informed that the Festival of Seasons items were "improved" which is why they end up listed separately in storage.

For some reason they decided to sell the "old, unimproved" in the shoppe for Thanksgiving and Christmas. And all the seasonal quests for Thanksgiving and Christmas only counted the "old, unimproved" items, instead of counting both the new and the old.

This issue is unlikely to be resolved in the near future; the only option is to purchase items from the shoppe if the ones from your storage do not count.

I totally don't understand this idea! We worked hard to get some of these items like Falstaff(which it said would count if you had one and I put mine out and it HAS NOT accepted yet!) and Gad's Hill Place!
GRRRRRR! at least let my reindeer count please as promised!!!
    Thank u!

I'm not wasting my time building these things again.

I do not have the power to fix this error, not to force anyone else to fix it.

I am giving you the information I have: these are time-limited quests though I do not know how long you will have to finish. This bug is more than likely not going to be resolved before the end of the time limit. You can either ignore the quests and then abandon them once the time-limit is up. Or you can complete the quests using non-festival-of-seasons items either from last year or the ones currently in the shoppe; those are the only options that are currently being provided to players.

I know it's not your fault.

I'll wait until the time limit's up and then abandon these last quests.

This means you won't get Hansel, just FYI.

I've got Hansel because the gingerbread house quest came before the ones to have Gadshill Place and Falstaff. Oh, well - I'll rebuild them anyway because I can just put my shopping list in the co-op forum. This bug is just annoying after all the bother we went to building them a couple of months ago.

I already got tired of waiting and built new ones, but you have me curious - What did they improve? I can see that when I store the new and old one, they show up as two separate Falstaffs but I can't tell that there is any difference when I put them next to each other in my fair. They have the same number of fun points, same number of uses per charge, look exactly the same (to the best of my ability to check), have the same animation, both jump twice and click their heels when used, both yield the same experience and coins when used.

I haven't checked Gad's Hill place compared to each other.

Not a clue, and I've been asking since they released the Festival of Season stuff and I noticed it didn't stash together.

says it counts looks the same lol
Were we told when the festival of seasons was upon us that those "buildings" wouldn't count with future quests?! Regardless, I don't understand what is meant by the message contained in the Falstaff quest that if we already have one that it would count. I hadn't seen this thread and messaged the support team (haven't heard back because it is the hols after all). At least I've been able to use up stale fruitcake!!!!

The tip is incorrect and should have been changed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I did get credited with my Gad's Hill that I had already built - looks like I will have to do Falstaff over again though - no biggie!

Sorry for the confusion; I should have clarified. The quest will count buildings from last year or ones from this content pack, but it will not count items from the Festival of Seasons. The tip is technically correct in that previously built buildings will count, but it is causing a lot of confusion since Festival of Seasons buildings won't. Due to the confusion, the tip should have been changed, though no idea if they'll do that before the pack is deprecated.
