Stashing dilemma

Having suffered the angst of missing quests due to my anxiousness to get rid of Christmas and stupidly stashing the toyshop complete with Donner, the provider of the said quests, I am now very trepidatious about stashing anything, yet with the size of the new buildings (do they HAVE to take up nine bases?!!) real estate is prime! So what IS safe to stash? Anything where the quests are completely over? Living above the 49th parallel, snow is not exciting to me, so I like to get all icy things away asap. Also, obviously the more I stash, the higher my count goes up toward getting to the next rank, not the highest goal of mine, but a lot of work has gone into getting to level 27, and I'm looking forward to getting to the magic 30! Any hints or advice will be welcomed.

As long as you don't stash a building with a character attached, which should no longer be possible to do, you shouldn't miss any quests. And if you need something for a quest you can unstash it.

Once I got to level 28, I brought everything out of storage, and purchased a bunch of dry aqueducts (570 rank points) until I reached rank level 30. Then I sold the aqueducts and just kept out my favorite buildings and decorations since you don't lose any rank points after you reach rank level 30. You could also buy several peaceful hillcocks (1200 rank points) and sell them.
