What's the point of golden axe?

Using it to chop a 4-life vine/stone it gives only one wood/stone(or the same as a single chop without the axe). So I guess the only point is to clear space more quickly instead of chopping more efficiently? Because at this point of the game it's more important to get material than clear space.

Also, neverwither fertilizer requires one energy so that's also a little inconvenient to use. Ladybug mansion and hummingbird mansion are useful though--but do they have a limit?

The Golden Axe should give you the same amount of wood per rock or vine as you would get if cut it down with individual chops. Anywhere from 2 to 5 wood is common depending on vine size.

I agree on the neverwither, I often come back to spoiled crops because I didn't have any energy left to place neverwither on them before I left, :P

I'm not sure what you mean by limit, but there are no limits on how many of the powers you can have or use. They are always purchasable in the shop under the special tab as well. I don't believe there is a limit on how many wonders you can build either but don't hold me to that.

I think it SHOULD but it does not. I did remember it to work like what you described at a certain point in history but does not now. I've tried interior vines and renew vines but neither works.

I mean the limit on the number of wonder buildings. For example, Leon's pyramid and kiboko's spring has a limit of 1 each.

There are no limits to the number of ladybug mansions or hummingbird havens you can collect.

OK I see the problem. I think golden axe only works correctly on the mainland vines, but in the interior it only gives one wood per chop. I presume this is a bug of some sort..
