    Default Your opinion.

How do you personally prioritize your buildings in order to progress at a good pace?

I have a difficult time prioritizing the right building, and as such, will not be able to finish the Lovebirds quest chain. I'm still stuck on the Picnic quest and Valentine arts-&-crafts. I've been busy prioritizing normal buildings from normal quest chains in order to unlock more NPCs for seasonal quests. Nowadays, my frequent neighbors have been busy, so I only progress minimally, by at least collecting rope, canvas, mortar, and nails.

    So, what's your pace?

Yeah, I think it's best to finish one quest chain before another. If you are quite interested in finishing ALL quests, do those limited timed first. If not, abandon those limited timed quests and only focus on the main line. Normally the weekly pack can be finished within 3-4 days, depending on whether I'm stuck on something but I started quite early during this game.

Also, if you are short on materials, try the co-operate subforum.

I was lucky I started at the beginning but I've tried a second city and understand how hard it can be. Personally I would focus on the limited time quests (like the valentine) and get to the ongoing normal quests when you can. It can be hard though, especially when materials get tight (stone especially seems to be a problem). The co-op forum and usergroups are a good way to get building materials such as rope, canvas and things of that nature. I think the biggest thing is to find what you enjoy doing and focus on that.

Some seasonal chains can be ignored totally. The year of the dragon is an example, there are no ongoing collections with it and the ministry building took a huge amount of materials.

If stone is an issue (and everyone goes through a stone issue) then send yourself some daily from the Fair until you can get into the interior. Also, when visiting low-level neighbours, look for rubble to clear. It drops wood and stone, and at a better rate than either rocks or vines.
